Job summary

Comprehensive Prosthetics & Orthotics (CPO) seeks a Business Development Specialist to grow referrals and strengthen relationships with healthcare providers in the Chicago market, focusing on the western suburbs. This remote role requires regular travel for partner visits, educational presentations, and community events.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years in healthcare sales/marketing preferred.
• Experience researching prospective customers, developing leads, and building professional relationships.
• Strong verbal and written communication, including presentations.

Responsibilities

• Partner with clinical and analytics teams to develop territory strategies that support referral and revenue growth.
• Collaborate with each clinic in the territory to establish sales and business development plans.
• Build and maintain relationships with physician practices, hospitals, nursing homes, PT providers, and community organizations.
• Identify and pursue new referral sources through research, cold calling, drop-in visits, and networking.
• Strengthen existing referral relationships through communication, service support, and follow-up.
• Deliver educational in-services, presentations, and product demonstrations for healthcare professionals.
• Maintain knowledge of CPO’s devices, services, and programs to communicate their value to referral partners.
• Coordinate community events and outreach activities to raise awareness of CPO’s services.
• Use marketing materials, digital tools, and social media to support outreach and communicate new services.
