You will ensure terminology consistency and cultural relevance while preserving brand voice and user experience for Oromo speakers.

The role emphasizes collaboration with cross-functional teams, adherence to client specifications, and delivering high-quality localized content across platforms.

Qualifications

• Native-level proficiency in Oromo.
• Graduate qualification in translation, linguistics, or language studies, OR a graduate qualification in another field plus 2 years of full-time professional translation experience, OR 5 years of full-time professional translation experience.
• The ability to follow terminology and reference materials precisely.
• Proven professional experience in translation and localization within marketing, UI/software, or e-commerce content.
• Experience with app or platform localization (mobile UI, social media, or web content) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Precisely adapt complex software interfaces and support documentation for Oromo users.
• Localize marketing campaigns and brand voice for the Oromo-speaking market.
• Localize product and UI listings using region-specific naming conventions and formatting.
• Uphold brand integrity and quality, ensuring engaging, audience-centric content.
• Collaborate with production and quality leads to meet project milestones and client specs.
