Systems Intelligence, an Akima company, is seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator to manage Oracle databases in a remote work setup for varied environments. The role emphasizes monitoring, security, upgrades, and performance tuning.

The position requires 5 years of DBA experience, Oracle 19c+, and certifications. A US citizenship with Secret clearance eligibility is preferred; ABET-accredited degree is preferred.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum 5 years of Oracle DBA experience in an operations environment.
• Certifications: CompTIA Security+ or CISSP and Oracle Certified Associate (or above).
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain Secret clearance.
• Preferred: BS degree in IT/CS or related field from ABET CAE institution.

Aufgaben

• Day-to-day monitoring of Oracle databases in Dev, Test, Acceptance and Production environments.
• Collaborate with App Admins and Developers to support applications.
• Linux Shell scripting/automation of routine tasks.
• Support Oracle standby databases.
• Knowledge of Oracle Grid Control to automate jobs.
• Create materialized views to support applications.
• Promote code from DEV/TEST to Acceptance to Production environments.
• Build new databases, upgrades, and apply Oracle patches.
• Troubleshoot performance issues as they arise.
• Backup Databases using RMAN and CommVault.
• Restore databases via RMAN and/or NetApp Snapshots.
