Job summary

Southern New Hampshire University is seeking student employees to support Reading Partners as Literacy Tutors. Tutors work one-on-one with students, either in person or through Reading Partners’ online platform using video conferencing, and may be assigned to various partner schools across the USA.

No prior tutoring experience is required as Reading Partners provides materials and ongoing training, along with on-site support. Flexible schedule and FWSP eligibility help balance work with studies.

Qualifications

• Current SNHU student enrolled in a degree program
• Passionate about early literacy and helping young learners
• Commit to a consistent weekly tutoring schedule
• Attention to reliability, punctuality, and professionalism

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with elementary school students using Reading Partners’ structured curriculum.
• Review session notes before each lesson and complete notes after each session.
• Federal Work Study students typically commit to 5–20 sessions per week, with each tutoring session a little over an hour.
