Job summary

The University of Wisconsin Carbone Cancer Center seeks a Clinical Trials Nurse Navigator to guide cancer patients through trial options and coordinate their initial UWCCC care. The navigator will work with patients and families, UW Health, and clinicians to educate and facilitate access to trials.

Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills are essential, with experience in oncology nursing and clinical research preferred. Remote work with initial in-person training is available.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) license required by the start date of the position.
• Previous experience in oncology nursing required.
• Preferred qualifications include experience in clinical research.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the recruitment and screening of subjects for clinical studies by conducting physical health assessments.
• Serves as main point of contact and liaison to project participants, investigators, research sponsors, and the research team delivering study information in accordance with established research project standards and protocols.
• Actively search for clinical trial options for cancer patients.
• May provide expertise, training, and guidance to the community, peers, and/or students.
• Provides appropriate treatment plan direction and information to study participants.
