Sumitomo Pharma America, Inc. is seeking an Associate Medical Director, Clinical Development – Oncology to design, execute, and interpret early to global oncology trials.

This role requires collaboration across disciplines to ensure rigorous scientific and regulatory standards while advancing novel therapies. Ideal candidates hold an MD/DO, completed residency (subspecialty fellowship desirable), and have 0–3 years of pharma development experience with hematologic malignancies knowledge

Qualifications

• MD/DO or non-US equivalent required.
• Completion of a residency program strongly preferred.
• Subspecialty fellowship desirable.
• Experience in blood cancers or solid tumors desirable.
• 0 to 3 years of pharmaceutical drug development experience required.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement clinical protocols supporting product development plans, with emphasis on hematologic malignancies.
• Provide clinical input to regulatory documents, publications and investigator interactions.
• Lead clinical study teams; monitor study integrity; review safety and efficacy data.
• Contribute to regulatory filings such as INDs/NDAs and related documents.
• Author manuscripts; collaborate with cross-functional teams and thought leaders.
• Partner with safety and pharmacovigilance to assess safety profiles.
