Job summary

Sumitomo Pharma America, Inc. is seeking an Associate Medical Director, Clinical Development – Oncology to design, execute and interpret clinical trial activities for hematologic malignancies, spanning early development to regulatory submissions.

The role requires an MD/DO (or equivalent), with residency completed; subspecialty fellowship is desirable. Remote work is primary with on-site meetings as needed, and a strong leadership, collaboration and publication focus.

Qualifications

• MD/DO or non-US equivalent is required or strongly preferred.
• Residency completion is strongly preferred.
• Subspecialty fellowship desirable for focus in oncology.
• Experience with hematologic malignancies or solid tumors is advantageous.
• 0–3 years of pharmaceutical drug development experience required.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement clinical protocols supporting development plans, with emphasis on hematologic malignancies.
• Provide clinical input to regulatory documents and publications.
• Lead study teams and ensure data integrity across studies.
• Present findings at scientific and regulatory meetings globally.
• Collaborate with investigators, KOLs, and partners; author clinical sections for regulatory filings.
