The US Oncology Network is seeking an Insurance Authorization Specialist to join Texas Oncology in Abilene, TX. This full-time remote role supports the Oncology Department at our 1957 Antilley Road clinic in Abilene, Texas. Typical work week is Monday through Friday, 8:00a - 5:00p.

This position will be either a level 1 or Sr based on candidate work experience. Under supervision, reviews chemotherapy regimens for reimbursement, obtains pre-certifications, and works with payers to avoid delays.

Qualifikationen

• Experience verifying medical insurance benefits and authorizations.
• Familiarity with payer guidelines and pre-certifications.
• Ability to communicate with clinicians, patients, and payers.
• Understanding of HIPAA and confidentiality requirements.

• Reviews chemotherapy regimens for reimbursement eligibility and records documentation.
• Obtains necessary pre-certifications and handles exceptions to ensure timely reimbursement.
• Researches denied services and identifies resources to cover treatment costs.
• Liaises between patients, payers, and clinical staff to resolve authorization issues.
• Keeps knowledge of payer guidelines updated and tracks pathways as needed.
• Performs additional business office tasks related to authorization as required.
