Job summary

Ascension is seeking an Oncology Data Specialist for a fully remote position in the United States. The role focuses on identifying reportable cancer cases, performing primary data abstraction for oncology measures, and maintaining long-term follow up data for cancer registry patients.

Qualified candidates will hold an NCRA credential or be enrolled in an accredited program within 36 months, with HS diploma or higher education required.

Qualifications

• Licensure/Certification/Registration required for role.
• NCRA credential within 36 months of hire.
• Educational pathways include HS diploma with experience or higher education/certification.

Responsibilities

• Screen disease indices, pathology, radiology and other clinical docs to identify reportable cancer cases.
• Perform primary data abstraction for oncology measures and registries with high accuracy.
• Maintain long-term follow up data collection/input for all cancer registry patients.
• Collect data for National Cancer Database studies as required.
• Adhere to Oncology Abstraction Training Program requirements.
