Job summary

Texas Oncology, part of The US Oncology Network, is seeking a Billing Specialist to join the Medical Oncology-Charge Entry Department in Richardson, Texas. This full-time remote role supports revenue-cycle processes and ensures accurate, timely billing.

The position can be Level 1, 2, or Sr depending on experience, with typical hours Monday–Friday 8:00a–5:00p. Responsibilities include insurance data collection, HCFA 1500 processing, claim transmission, and timely problem resolution.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• This position is entry level and requires 0-3 years experience in a medical business office setting.
• Level 2 requires minimum three years experience in a medical business office setting.
• Level Sr requires minimum five years experience in a medical business office setting.

Responsibilities

• Collects and reviews all patient insurance information needed to complete the billing process.
• Completes all necessary insurance forms to process the proper billing information in a timely manner.
• Transmits daily all electronic claims to third party payors.
• Resolves billing problems and initiates correct account adjustments.
• Follows all billing guidelines to ensure accurate and timely claims submission.
