Job summary

Gauntlet is seeking a senior quant/engineer to design, build, and operate vault strategies in production. You’ll own strategies end-to-end—from thesis and design to deployment and live monitoring—across RWAs, cross-chain yield, and other vault types.

You’ll write code in Python, work with data pipelines, and apply quantitative methods to optimize performance while ensuring safety and uptime. Remote work is available across the US & Canada.

Qualifications

• A track record of building quantitative systems that run in production, e.g., algorithmic trading, portfolio optimization, or risk systems.
• You write the code behind your strategies with strong Python and software-engineering fundamentals.
• Applied quantitative skills and experience with data validation and simulation.
• Comfort with data infrastructure and building/consuming data pipelines.
• Production ownership and fault-tolerant design for systems handling capital.

Responsibilities

• Design and ship vault strategies from thesis to deployment and live operation.
• Optimize strategies with signals research, gas-aware rebalancing, and liquidity management.
• Run due diligence on protocols, assets, and chains for strategy inclusion.
• Define risk parameters, VaR models, and automated de-risking logic.
• Integrate new protocols and maintain on-chain adapters; monitor live positions.
• Support launches with growth, capital markets, and client teams.
