Job summary

Synack is offering a part-time, 6‑month internship in Vulnerability Operations. You will assist with reviewing missions, verifying patches, and generating vulnerability reports while learning to exploit real-world vulnerabilities. This remote role requires strong communication and basic offensive security knowledge.

Candidates should have coursework in offensive security, familiarity with tools like Burp Suite and Zap, and an understanding of OSI/TCP/IP and CVSS. U.S. citizenship is required.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Basic understanding of computer security topics, especially offensive security.
• Coursework in offensive security and/or participation in labs/CTF events.
• Understanding of OSI model, TCP/IP, and CVSS is a plus.
• Coursework toward CEH, GPEN, EJPT, OSCP is a plus.
• Familiarity with OWASP Top Ten.

Responsibilities

• Assist Vulnerability Operations with review and acceptance of missions, patch verifications, and vulnerability reports.
• Bypass customer patch attempts, create suspected vulnerability reports, and exploit real-world vulnerabilities.
• Work remotely with seasoned Computer Security Analysts.
• Learn to review complex vulnerability reports.
