Job summary

The Center for Biological Diversity is seeking a Campaigner for the Oceans program to plan, campaign for policy goals, and mobilize public support through research, writing, and media outreach. The role emphasizes building coalitions, organizing creative actions, and expanding our movement to protect oceans and wildlife.

You will lead national, regional and local campaigns, coordinate with scientists, lawyers, organizers and communications staff, and develop bold initiatives to grow and mobilize

Qualifications

• 3+ years of campaign experience in environmental or social justice campaigns.
• Ability to design and implement strategic outreach and advocacy campaigns.
• Demonstrated skill in guiding coalitions, with inclusive practices.

Responsibilities

• Craft and execute campaign plans that advance program priorities.
• Develop and run national, regional, state, and local campaigns.
• Consult and coordinate with program staff on campaigns to reach goals.
• Build and maintain partnerships and coalitions with communities and organizations.
• Organize meetings and lead conversations to maximize engagement.
• Communicate with media, decision-makers, the public, allies and opinion leaders.
