Job summary

MBPCC is seeking a Remote Occupational Therapist to conduct remote assessments and issue fit notes for working-age adults. The post is home-based under MBPCC’s Homeworking guidance, with a fixed-term contract and the ability to adapt to pilot-driven processes.

Applicants must be HCPC registered, able to work via video/phone, and capable of coordinating care with Clinical Lead and multidisciplinary teams while maintaining high standards of information governance and patient confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Must be HCPC registered and eligible to work as an Occupational Therapist.
• Experience with remote assessment methods and return-to-work considerations is desirable.
• Ability to work independently within a fixed-term pilot and adhere to governance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Conduct remote assessments via video or telephone to determine fitness to work and issue fit notes.
• Manage a defined caseload of working-age adults, including workability assessments and return-to-work planning.
• Maintain accurate clinical records in EMIS and liaise with Clinical Lead/ANP for complex cases.
• Escalate safeguarding or risk issues promptly and follow organisational pathways and guidelines.
