Job summary

IKS Health is seeking a seasoned Medical Coder for remote professional fee and facility coding in OBGYN. The role covers inpatient, outpatient, and clinic visits, coding with ICD-10-CM and CPT-4, and reviewing medical records thoroughly to assign accurate codes.

The candidate should have CPC, COC, or CCS/CCS-P credentials and at least 3 years of professional fee and facility coding experience, especially for OBGYN clinic and surgery. Proficiency with EPIC, 3M, and 360 is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience coding clinic E&M, CPT if performed.
• Must pass coding proficiency test.
• Experience with EPIC, 3M, 360.
• 3+ years of professional fee and facility coding experience.
• Strong skills in Profee/facility OBGYN Clinic & Surgery.
• Must code Clinic E&M and CPTs.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Reviews medical records to identify pertinent diagnoses and procedures.
• Abstracts information from the record according to client guidelines.
• Solicits clarification from the physician when documentation is ambiguous.
• Mentors training coders and supports education.
• Maintains knowledge of Coding Clinic, CPT Assistant, and official guidelines.
• Maintains professional communication and contributes to a positive company image.
