Job summary

Sedgwick is seeking a qualified Workers’ Compensation Claims Examiner with NY jurisdiction experience to analyze Lost-Time claims for major clients. The role supports flexible work arrangements and a comprehensive benefits package.

Your responsibilities include adjudicating claims, negotiating settlements, and maintaining clear communication with claimants and clients while adhering to service standards and client guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Professional certification relevant to line of business preferred.
• Minimum of two (2) years of claims management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

Responsibilities

• Analyzing and processing New York Lost-Time claims to determine benefits due, while ensuring ongoing adjudication of claims within service expectations and client requirements.
• Negotiating settlement of claims within designated authority.
• Communicating claim activity and processing with the claimant and the client.
• Reporting claims to the excess carrier and responding to directions in a professional and timely manner.
