The position is telecommute-friendly with a regular 8am-5pm schedule, site-specific duties at the Jonesboro campus as needed, and opportunities to participate in curriculum

Qualifications

• Knowledge of curriculum design, strategies to promote student learning, assessment and evaluation of learning, evidence-based education principles, basic nursing skills and a commitment to life-long learning
• Possess interpersonal and communication skills necessary to teach as part of a faculty team

Responsibilities

• Accepts delegated appropriate assignments and responsibilities
• Accepts responsibility for assessing student learning and evaluating student learning outcomes
• Actively participates in development, revision, and evaluation of curriculum, course content, clinical experiences, and test construction
• Is responsible for didactic courses and/or clinical group size appropriate to area of clinical practice
• Plans and supervises clinical seminars
• Establishes effective coordinating relationships with co-workers and clinical agencies
• Continues education for professional growth
• Participates in academic advising and guidance of students
• Maintains office hours as required by the college
• Participates in the faculty organization and appropriate program, college and university activities
• Sponsors and promotes planned activities of students, program, college and university as requested
• Contributes to the community through involvement in and/or consultation to health related organizations, board memberships, or professional presentations to the public
• Participates in planning for the continued growth and progress of the program through faculty and student recruitment and retention efforts
• Holds membership and participates in organizations that advance the profession of nursing and advanced practice nursing, such as the ANA or other professional organizations
