Job summary

Ascend Learning, LLC is seeking a Nursing Education Specialist to develop evidence-based nursing content for multiple products, with focus on adult medical-surgical, maternal-newborn, or pediatric areas.

You will apply strong writing skills, subject-matter expertise, and NCLEX alignment to create and update content, tutorials, and assessments while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• MSN and current RN license required.
• Five years of experience as a full-time faculty member in a prelicensure nursing program.
• Three years of clinical nursing practice in adult medical surgical, maternal newborn, or pediatric nursing.
• Expertise creating generalist-level content across nursing curricula.
• Knowledge of NCLEX-PN and NCLEX-RN test plans.
• Excellent writing skills and ability to search literature.
• Ability to author NCLEX-style items and review content.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.

Responsibilities

• Create original and update nursing content aligned with evidence-based practice.
• Lead item review meetings with internal/external SMEs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on content development.
• Conduct literature searches and analyze research articles for content.
• Support QA checks and beta testing prior to product release.
