Job summary

Baystate Medical Center is seeking a per diem Nurse Researcher to advance nursing scholarship, evidence-based practice, and clinical innovation. This remote, part-time role supports research design, data analysis, and dissemination of findings to improve patient outcomes.

You will collaborate with nursing leadership, physicians, and multidisciplinary teams to translate evidence into practice, develop research questions, and pursue grant opportunities, while mentoring bedside nurses in scholarly

Qualifications

• Active Massachusetts RN license.
• Doctoral degree and relevant nursing expertise.
• Experience in program development and research.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Partner with nursing staff and interdisciplinary teams to identify research questions, design and conduct studies, collect and analyze data, and disseminate findings.
• Promote evidence-based practice by facilitating nursing research and supporting integration of current findings into clinical care.
• Provide leadership in nursing scholarship including manuscript preparation, journal publications, grant applications, and conference presentations.
• Develop and support a nursing scholarship program to promote professional development and participation in research and quality improvement.
• Lead Nurse-Led Research and Innovations Council within nursing shared governance and liaise with IRB processes.
• Lead development and evaluation of divisional programs to improve clinical workflows and patient care.
• Support organizational leadership standards and service excellence aligned with Baystate Medical Center’s mission.
