Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted RN license.
• 3+ years of recent clinical experience in acute care or utilization management.
• Experience applying guideline-based criteria (InterQual, MCG) in clinical reviews.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology and documentation.
• Familiarity with HIPAA and data privacy.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records and navigating clinical systems.
• Experience performing payer-based prior authorization reviews.
• Ability to work independently with high-quality annotations.

Responsibilities

• Review medical records with clinical judgment.
• Annotate and label data for AI model training per UM guidelines.
• Ensure clinical accuracy and consistency of annotations.
• Contribute to high-quality training datasets for AI models.
• Identify gaps or ambiguities in documentation.
• Refine annotation guidelines and workflows.
• Collaborate with data science, clinical operations, and product teams.
• Support testing and quality review of AI-supported UM tools.
• Document annotation decisions and rationales.
• Uphold clinical, ethical, and regulatory data handling standards.
