Actalent is hiring a Mechanical Engineer for a 100% remote role focused on nuclear power projects. You will support design engineering, analyze systems, perform calculations, and contribute to technical deliverables for utility clients.

The role emphasizes adherence to nuclear standards and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality engineering solutions from concept to implementation.

Qualifications

• Support mechanical design engineering for nuclear power plant projects.
• Develop practical solutions to mechanical and electromechanical challenges.
• Perform engineering calculations, designs, specifications and deliverables.
• Evaluate systems using mechanics, thermodynamics, hydraulics, heat transfer and materials science.
• Provide technical guidance on mechanical design processes and construction methods.
• Support Engineering Change Control for nuclear power utilities.

Responsibilities

• Apply nuclear codes, standards, regulations, and Nuclear QA requirements.
• Collaborate with clients and multidisciplinary teams to define priorities and solve challenges.
• Support projects from concept through design and implementation.
• Prepare technical reports, documentation and presentations.
• Manage multiple priorities while maintaining client relationships.
