Johnson Service Group is seeking an experienced Simulator Engineer (Nuclear Control Room Simulator) to develop software models for a plant control room simulator. The role collaborates with operators and engineers and uses tools like SimExec, JTopmeret, RELAP5, TRACE, Simulate 3, and MCNP.

The position offers a full-time permanent contract with an annual base salary of $87,000–$100,000 plus a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• A BS in physics, engineering, or related technical field is required; ABET accreditation preferred.
• Three or more years of recent demonstrable software deliverables focusing on modeling and simulator development are required.
• Five years of full-time software development experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Translate engineering documentation into accurate plant models for the simulator.
• Support development, testing, and operation of the control room simulator and related software projects.
• Develop software following established procedures to maintain configuration control.
