Job summary

Upstream is seeking a correspondent based in Houston to illuminate our global readership about the transformation of North American energy companies as they address climate change.

You will cover energy companies and policy in the United States and Canada, including offshore exploration and development, shale oil and gas, the LNG business, and energy services and related technologies, with opportunities to travel and to work with Upstream's international newsroom.

Qualifications

• Experience reporting and writing exclusive news quickly and accurately.
• Ability to build strong source networks and work independently.
• Knowledge of upstream oil and gas business is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exclusive news and analytical coverage on energy companies and policy in North America.
• Cover offshore exploration and development, shale oil and gas, LNG, and related services and technology companies.
• Provide coverage for events, live and digital, including major industry conferences.
• Some travel is required for this role.
