Chemours is seeking a Materials expert to provide consulting on non-metallic materials engineering for global chemical businesses. The role involves technical support to plants, capital projects and R&D, plus leading design, fabrication and repair activities across projects.

The ideal candidate has a BS in Mechanical Engineering (or related field) with focus on non-metallic materials, 5–10 years in chemical processing, and strong ability to communicate complex ideas clearly to diverse audiences.

Qualifications

BS in Mechanical Engineering with emphasis on non-metallic materials.
5–10 years in chemical process industries involving non-metallic constructions.
Experience with design, fabrication, and project flow for non-metallic equipment.
Ability to communicate technical ideas clearly to varied audiences.

Responsibilities

Provide consulting to Chemours global chemical businesses in non-metallic materials engineering.
Support plant operations, capital projects and R&D with technical guidance.
Lead materials design, fabrication, and repair activities on projects.
Prepare technical reports, inspections, and design sketches.
Travel ~35% to plant sites and fabrication shops.
