Job summary

The Chemours Company seeks a Non-Metallic Materials Engineer to lead materials selection for chemical process equipment and provide technical support across plant operations, fabrication, and R&D. You will review drawings, specify non-metallic components, and guide project teams to deliver safe, reliable services.

Travel about 35% to sites and shops is expected. A strong background in non-metallic materials, mechanical design, and industry codes (ASME/ASTM) is essential to drive complex projects

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering with demonstrated background in non-metallic materials.
• 5-10 years of experience in Chemical Process or related industries with non-metallic materials.
• Experience with design, fabrication, and project process flow for non-metallic equipment.
• Team player with initiative and ability to drive projects safely while handling ambiguity.
• Willingness to participate in codes/organizations such as ASME.
• Preferred: advanced degree in Mechanical, Polymer, Chemical, or Materials Eng and plant site experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide consulting services to Chemours global businesses in non-metallic materials engineering.
• Support plant operations, capital projects, and R&D with technical input and drawings.
• Review equipment drawings, specifications, and maintain internal standards in line with industry norms.
• Coordinate with vendors and cross-functional teams to deliver economical, feasible solutions.
• Prepare technical reports and assist in inspection and fabrication tasks.
