Job summary

ArchKey in Plymouth, MN is seeking a Network Infrastructure Estimator to develop accurate cost estimates for structured cabling projects, including fiber optics. This role supports multiple company verticals and may be based out of Plymouth or remote, with a full-time schedule and travel as needed.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in estimating network infrastructure, proficiency in Accubid/Bluebeam/Microsoft Office, and strong analytical skills to produce data-driven cost breakdowns and value

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in estimating network infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of structured cabling systems.
• Ability to read, interpret and understand plans, drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Proficiency in estimation software (Accubid, Bluebeam) and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with BICSI, TIA/EIA standards, and NEC codes preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for structured cabling and fiber optics.
• Analyze project specifications, drawings, and technical documents to determine scope and requirements.
• Evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotes for accuracy and competitiveness.
• Collaborate with project management to ensure alignment on design and cost assumptions.
• Support proposal development and client presentations with clear, data-driven cost breakdowns.
• Maintain and update historical cost databases and estimation tools.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering alternatives.
• Consistently make decisions in an attentive and safe manner to ensure safety and health.
• Promote and model the Company mission, vision and values through DEI and high-quality service.
