Job summary

Cerebras Systems seeks a Network Security Engineer to build, operate and secure our network across data centers, cloud, and corporate environments. This remote, U.S.-based individual contributor role supports firewalls, segmentation, VPNs, and automation while collaborating with on-site teams.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in network security, network engineering, cloud security, or infrastructure security.
• Hands-on firewall, ACLs, segmentation, routing, switching, VPNs, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with data center/on-prem networks and remote hand coordination.
• AWS networking knowledge: VPCs, transit gateways, security groups, load balancers.
• Proficiency with Terraform, Ansible, Python, GitOps, or similar tooling.

Responsibilities

• Operate firewalls, ACLs, segmentation, and security controls across environments.
• Remotely support data center network deployment, troubleshooting, and lifecycle management.
• Implement and maintain segmentation, firewall, and ACL policies across corporate and infrastructure.
• Manage inbound/outbound network controls including NAT, load balancers, DNS filtering, proxies, and egress.
• Implement and operate VPN, ZTNA, NAC, Wi-Fi, and partner connectivity.
• Perform firewall rule reviews, segmentation audits, and remediation of exposure.
• Automate network/workflow tasks with Terraform, Ansible, Python, and GitOps.
• Support network telemetry, detection, investigation, and containment with Security Operations.
• Troubleshoot routing, switching, TCP/IP, DNS, TLS, and cloud networking issues.
• Maintain network architecture docs, procedures, and runbooks.
• Coordinate remote changes and incident response across distributed teams.
