Job summary

Everforth Apex seeks a Programmer to join the Cybersecurity Technology Services team, focusing on Microsoft Defender, Palo Alto SCM, and cloud security. You will help build automation, integrations, and tooling across endpoints, networks, and cloud environments.

The role involves developing automation scripts, integrating security APIs, and maintaining data pipelines for SIEMs, with a requirement for a bachelor’s degree and scripting experience in Python/PowerShell/Bash/Go.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field, or equivalent experience is required.
• Proficiency in scripting or programming languages such as Python, PowerShell, Bash, or Go is necessary.
• Experience with Microsoft Defender APIs, Palo Alto SCM/Panorama APIs, and cloud security APIs (Azure, AWS, or GCP) is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automation scripts and applications for security operations, configuration management, and policy enforcement across Defender, Palo Alto SCM, and cloud platforms.
• Integrate APIs from Defender XDR, Palo Alto Panorama/SCM, and cloud-native security tools into internal systems and dashboards.
• Build and maintain data pipelines for ingesting and normalizing logs into SIEM platforms like Microsoft Sentinel or Splunk.
• Collaborate with cloud and security engineers to implement secure configurations, monitor compliance, and respond to threats in hybrid environments.
• Automate remediation workflows and support SOAR integrations for incident response.
• Monitor platform health, performance, and configuration drift across cloud and on-premise environments.
• Document code, integration processes, and platform configurations for operational transparency and audit readiness.
