Job summary

CrowdStrike Holdings, Inc. is seeking an engineering manager to lead the Network Engineering team, building and operating large-scale backbone and cloud connectivity for hybrid infrastructure.

You will drive the technical roadmap, manage global engineers, and partner with vendors to evolve IP/Optical networks and automation to scale for our security platform. This role requires leadership, deep backbone expertise, and a focus on reliability.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in operating multi-vendor IP/Optical backbone, data center and cloud networks.
• Experience leading globally distributed engineering teams with minimal supervision.
• Deep expertise in backbone technologies: DWDM, ROADM, MP-BGP, MPLS, RSVP, IS-IS, QoS.
• Experience with network automation tooling and scripting (bash, python) or automation frameworks.
• Experience in FedRAMP or other regulated environments.
• Must be eligible for CJIS clearance (U.S. citizenship or GC).
• A track record of building/tools, platforms, and scalable infrastructure.
• Familiarity with network testing, simulation tools, and AI-driven optimization.

Responsibilities

• Lead network engineering team and drive initiatives to scale the IP/Optical backbone for hybrid infrastructure.
• Define and execute cloud connectivity strategy and budget to support services.
• Collaborate with internal partners and vendors to align roadmaps and designs.
• Engage with external vendors for roadmap alignment and post-mortem discussions on incidents.
• Drive operational excellence and automation across multiple hybrid clouds.
• Lead development and integration of new hardware/software platforms; participate in 24x7 on-call rotations.
