Job summary

Chenega Professional & Technical Services, LLC seeks a Network Engineer II to provide after-hours remote support for enterprise LAN/WAN and VPN across geographically distributed data centers supporting a U.S. federal OCIO.

You will configure, monitor, and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, and SSL appliances while ensuring security, data integrity, and availability. The role requires 5+ years in enterprise networking, Cisco routing/switching, VPNs, and ITIL processes.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher in IT/CS/Engineering; relevant experience acceptable.
5+ years supporting enterprise network infrastructure.
Experience configuring Cisco routers and switches; routing protocols (BGP/OSPF/EIGRP).
Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NAT, VLANs; VPN and security controls.

Responsibilities

Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot enterprise LAN/WAN and VPN for federal customers.
Support routers, switches, load balancers, firewalls, SSL appliances, and remote access.
Maintain site-to-site VPNs; ensure data integrity and availability.
Analyze network performance and minimize downtime with corrective actions.
Support firewall policies, IDS/IPS, vulnerability remediation and audits.
