Job summary

Consult seeks a Network and Design Consultant for a temporary, part-time, hourly role reporting to the COO. The position is mostly remote with on-campus work required for defined projects; hours capped at 29 per week over four days.

Responsibilities include replacing campus network design, advising on low-voltage systems, and creating MSP scopes with evaluation criteria. Weekly OAC meetings occur Wednesdays at 2:00 p.m., with time-tracking in Paycor and Outlook.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, CS, Network Eng or related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience in network infrastructure design, implementation, and performance.
• Experience reviewing low-voltage and technology systems for facilities projects.
• Experience coordinating tech projects with contractors and vendors.
• Experience with monitoring, troubleshooting and escalation practices.

Responsibilities

• Complete the network infrastructure replacement of the master campus design.
• Consult on new building technology systems including low-voltage tech.
• Develop MSP scope of work with monitoring, performance, and escalation criteria.
• Coordinate with contractors, vendors and project stakeholders.
• Review plans and provide technical recommendations within priorities.
• Monitor milestones, deadlines, issues, risks; provide weekly COO updates.
• Maintain documentation for progress, recommendations, scopes and deliverables.
• Attend weekly OAC meetings with contractors every Wednesday at 2:00 p.m.
• Weekly touch point with COO to review hours and progress; schedule-based.
