Job summary

Cypress Consulting is seeking a Network Automation Engineer to drive automation initiatives remotely from the United States. The role requires hands-on scripting, IaC, and deep networking expertise across concurrent engagements.

You will design workflows, produce deployment documentation, and present technical findings to mid-level stakeholders while mentoring junior engineers and supporting delivery quality.

Qualifications

• Eight or more years of network engineering or automation experience.
• Hands-on scripting and tooling for network automation.
• Experience with IaC platforms such as Ansible, Terraform, NetBox or equivalent.
• Deep expertise in at least one networking discipline with broader knowledge.
• Ability to work independently with regular checkpoints on multiple projects.
• Strong technical writing and presentation skills for engineers and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain network automation workflows with Ansible, Terraform, and NetBox.
• Provide network engineering and automation expertise across multiple projects.
• Lead defined workstreams and coordinate with project leads and delivery teams.
• Create detailed designs, deployment docs, procedures, and presentation materials.
• Deliver technical briefings showing how solutions meet business and operational needs.
• Identify and escalate risks, dependencies, and issues affecting delivery.
• Mentor less-experienced engineers and support continuous improvement.
