Job summary

The Intersect Group is seeking a Jr. Software Developer (C#) to join a remote team delivering business-critical applications. This contract role emphasizes learning, collaboration, and hands-on development using Microsoft technologies in a fast-paced consumer finance environment.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of .NET/C# development, SQL querying skills, and familiarity with Git. Bachelor's degree in CS or related field required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of software development experience in Microsoft tech stack (C#, .NET).
• Experience with SQL and relational databases; writing queries.
• Experience with source control (Git or similar).
• Experience building web-based applications and services.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Write, maintain, and enhance application code using Microsoft technologies and best practices.
• Analyze data, workflows, and system requirements to support design and implementation of software.
• Participate in architecture discussions and provide input on technical solutions.
• Collaborate with application support and infrastructure teams to resolve issues and improve performance.
• Conduct unit, integration, system, and performance testing as required.
• Troubleshoot and resolve defects and production issues; contribute to root cause analysis.
