Job summary

Avel eCare, a leader in telemedicine, is seeking a Nephrologist to join our Specialty Clinic as a PRN / 1099 Independent Contractor. The role enables remote practice across the U.S. and supports underserved populations with access to nephrology expertise.

Hours are 16 per week, non-exempt, with reports to the Medical Director. Telemedicine familiarity is preferred; active license in any state is required (Colorado preferred).

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree required.
• Active DEA certification.
• Board Certification/Board Eligible in Nephrology.
• At least one unrestricted state license (Colorado preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provide remote outpatient nephrology consults via secure telemedicine platforms.
• Review patient information and develop care recommendations.
• Coordinate with on-site clinical teams for next steps in care.
• Document visits clearly, accurately, and promptly.
• Follow telehealth workflows for smooth and professional consults.

Education
