Job summary

LMI Government Consulting is hiring an Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) - Navy for remote work with occasional travel to Norfolk, VA. This senior role blends hands-on cybersecurity work with shaping customer engagements and architecture for sensor technology deployments.

Ideal candidates bring DoD RMF experience, a CISSP, and 8+ years in IT/security, with the ability to obtain a Secret clearance.

Qualifications

8+ years of experience in information technology, wireless communications, cybersecurity or information assurance.
4+ years of experience with LAN/WAN, cloud networks, servers and data communications.
2+ years of experience with AWS, GCP or Azure environments.
Experience with Navy or other DoD RMF requirements.
Proven experience navigating ATO processes for technology solutions.
Ability to obtain and maintain Secret+ clearance.
Pre-sales or hands-on experience deploying enterprise cybersecurity solutions (preferred).

Responsibilities

Develop strategies to identify, qualify, and resolve technical blockers with a focus on cybersecurity.
Promote impact of LMI sensor and IoT solutions and supporting proof of concept engagements.
Influence cybersecurity solutioning to meet business objectives and align with architecture and deployment.
Provide cogent strategies and influence project teams and clients through clear communication.
Bridge cybersecurity control responses to satisfy customer initiatives.
Work with technical integration teams to support solution design, PoCs and implementations.
Create and deliver technical presentations, workshops, or validation engagements.
Mentor team members in cybersecurity, solution architecture and development.
