Job summary

Terrestris is seeking an Adjunct Faculty Instructor for NAV 102: Modern Naval History to support USNCC. This remote 1099 contractor role requires eight hours per week across a 10-week course, with up to two courses per term for experienced instructors.

The Fall I term runs Aug 10, 2026 through Oct 4, 2026. Responsibilities include onboarding, preparing materials, online instruction via Blackboard, grading, feedback, and weekly progress reports.

Qualifications

• Master's degree (Doctorate preferred) in a relevant discipline.
• Minimum 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching discipline.
• Previous college-level teaching experience.
• Experience teaching online to working adults in an accredited higher education environment.

Responsibilities

• Attend onboarding and course orientation before teaching.
• Teach online undergraduate courses per USNCC policies and syllabi.
• Deliver instruction via Blackboard LMS using the government course shell.
• Grade assignments with rubrics and provide detailed feedback.
• Prepare weekly progress reports and end-of-course summaries.
