Terrestris seeks an Adjunct Faculty Instructor NAV104 for the U.S. Navy Community College. This remote 1099 contractor role requires teaching up to two courses per term for an eight-hour weekly commitment, with a 10-week course window per course.

Fall I runs Aug 10, 2026 to Oct 4, 2026. You bring a Master’s (Doctorate preferred), 18 graduate hours in the discipline, and proven online teaching experience in higher education, with familiarity with Blackboard LMS and USNCC policies.

Qualifications

• Must be authorized to permanently work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Experience teaching collegiate online courses using LMS (Blackboard or similar).
• Academic credentials and scholarship record aligned with teaching role.
• Master's degree (Doctorate preferred) and 18 graduate hours in discipline; prior college teaching experience.

Responsibilities

• Attend onboarding and course orientation prior to teaching.
• Prepare supplemental materials for approval and upload to USNCC LMS.
• Teach online asynchronous undergraduate courses per USNCC policies and standards.
• Deliver instruction via USNCC LMS and government course shell.
• Grade assignments and provide detailed feedback.
• Maintain weekly virtual office hours and respond to inquiries.
• Submit grades and end-of-course reports on time.
