Job summary

The J.M. Smucker Company is seeking a Business Development Manager for Away from Home Sales in the Commercial Chain Accounts channel.

You will develop and execute strategic plans, manage trade spend, and drive growth across Top 300 national chain foodservice accounts while coordinating with brokers to deliver KPI targets. You will build strong relationships with cross-functional teams including Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance, and you will travel up to 60% to client sites and markets

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 3+ years managing National Chain Foodservice Account business or equivalent.
• Understanding of Foodservice Supply Chain customer needs and opportunities.
• Established experience with Broker Management.
• Strong Negotiation skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 60%.
• Must reside near a major airport.

Responsibilities

• Deliver top-line sales and bottom-line profit targets for the commercial national chain foodservice account channel.
• Develop, execute, oversee, and lead business activities with Top 300 national chain foodservice accounts.
• Manage trade spend and P&L for assigned accounts.
• Lead broker management to drive region chain execution in the foodservice segment.
• Develop and maintain relationships with customer leadership across Supply Chain, Marketing, Culinary, and Operations.
• Plan and execute quarterly business reviews and annual Joint Business Plans with assigned accounts.
• Grow existing business and acquire new customers within the portfolio.
