Job summary

OpenKrill is seeking a Software Development Engineer III, MuleSoft, to design and maintain enterprise integrations across ERP, CRM, databases, and cloud services. The role focuses on secure, scalable API-based connections using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform in a fully remote US environment.

You will work with distributed teams to implement RESTful and SOAP services, enforce API governance, and mentor junior engineers while delivering high-impact solutions. ET hours preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; candidates with 7+ years in integration may qualify.
• 5–7 years of software development experience with 2–5 years on MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.
• Strong expertise in MuleSoft tech stack including Mule ESB, API Manager, Mule Runtime, Anypoint Studio, CloudHub 2.0.
• Experience designing RESTful and SOAP web services and enterprise integration patterns.
• Familiarity with ERP/CRM integrations, Salesforce CPQ, SOQL, and object models.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise integrations, APIs, and connectors using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.
• Build scalable integrations connecting ERP, CRM, databases, cloud services, and third-party apps.
• Develop RESTful and SOAP services with secure data exchange and proper API design.
• Configure and maintain MuleSoft applications across environments and support deployment.
• Troubleshoot issues, analyze logs, and improve system reliability and performance.
• Implement API security and governance (OAuth, SSL, encryption).
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and CI/CD workflows.
• Document architectures, configurations, and operational procedures.
• Collaborate with distributed teams to deliver projects and align with business requirements.
• Provide mentoring to junior developers and promote coding standards.
• Stay updated on MuleSoft updates and industry best practices.
