Job summary

Ovation Healthcare is seeking a Microsoft Fabric Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and analytics solutions using Fabric and Azure Data Services. You will work with Fabric Lakehouse/Warehouse and develop Notebooks for data transformation at scale while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, high-quality data solutions.

The role requires hands-on experience with PySpark/Spark SQL, SQL, Python or Scala, and strong knowledge of data modeling

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in data engineering, data architecture, or a similar role.
• Hands-on experience building data models and Notebooks within Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse and/or Warehouse).
• Experience writing PySpark/Spark SQL in a notebook environment for data transformation and pipeline development.
• Strong programming skills in SQL and at least one language such as Python, Scala, or similar.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, security best practices, and compliance standards.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric and Azure Data Services.
• Design and implement data models within Microsoft Fabric — Lakehouse and Warehouse architectures.
• Build, maintain, and optimize Fabric Notebooks (PySpark, Spark SQL, Python) for data transformation.
• Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to deliver insights.
• Implement data ingestion, transformation, and integration workflows following best practices.
