Job summary

Shields Health Care Group is seeking an MRI Technologist for a remote-friendly, full-time position based in Massachusetts. The role requires MRI experience, ARRT certification, CPR credentials, and the ability to work a weekend rotation (Sunday 7:30am–6:00pm; Monday–Wednesday 12:00pm–10:30pm).

Salary ranges from $40 to $60 per hour with benefits. The MRI Technologist will follow safety policies, administer contrast, position patients, and document exam data.

Qualifications

• This opportunity requires prior MRI scanning experience.
• Necessary requirements include MRI/ARRT/CPR certifications, and fantastic interpersonal skills.
• ARMRIT certification accepted at some locations.

Responsibilities

• Follow all policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure patient safety.
• Inform the patient of all aspects of their exam to their level of understanding.
• Ensure patient is cleared of all contraindications and hazards.
• Accurately position the patient and ensure their comfort.
• Maintain visual and verbal contact with the patient during the exam.
• Perform scan in accordance to center’s protocol.
• Administer intravenous contrast.
• Record patient data to Tech Data Entry program.
• Provide and issue films/CD when appropriate.
• Forward data and/or films/CD to Radiologist upon completion of exam.
• Assist clerical staff as circumstances arise.
• Clean and re-supply equipment and rooms as needed.
• Adhere to training/licenses based on credentialing policy.
• Contrast administration
