Job summary

Ohio University is seeking an Executive MPA adjunct instructor to teach online/hybrid courses via OU’s LMS. The instructor will engage students, moderate discussions, provide feedback, and grade assignments in a timely manner, with a focus on active learning and technology integration.

Minimum qualifications include graduate degrees with substantial experience in public administration and related fields, plus strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in Business Administration, Social Sciences, Behavioral Sciences, Education, or Research Methods.
• MA requires minimum 7 years of experience.
• PhD requires minimum 5 years of experience.
• Excellent communication skills both oral and written; strong organizational and computer skills.
• Experience teaching in-person, hybrid, or online courses at undergrad and/or grad level.
• At least two years of relevant experience in program evaluation, HR, economic development, public finance, financial management, public budgeting, non-profit leadership, data analytics or statistics.

Responsibilities

• Engage students to meet course and weekly objectives and moderate weekly discussions.
• Provide meaningful feedback on discussions and timely grading of assignments.
• Offer tutoring during established virtual office hours and foster a positive learning environment.
