Job summary

Instant is seeking a Motion Designer to help define and scale a user-centric motion design system across mobile and web products. You will work with the growth team to storyboard, animate, and produce launch videos that showcase our product narratives.

You will collaborate with design to deliver polished, on-brand assets and motion experiences, while QA-ing for quality and handoff readiness. This remote role emphasizes autonomy, strong communication, and a human-centered approach.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of motion design experience in a product setting.
• Self-directed, solution-oriented, and able to work autonomously.
• Thrives in a fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to narrate user experience with motion based on user behavior, needs, and emotions.
• Exhibits deep mastery of foundational animation principles.
• Mastery of After Effects and Figma.
• Creative thinking toward establishing and executing on team initiatives.
• Challenge the status quo, push innovation and inspire people toward a unified outcome.

Responsibilities

• Develop a user-centric Motion Design System that scales to both our mobile & web products
• Produce high-quality product launch videos.
• Partner with design to animate assets that can be embedded into the product experience, our website and marketing front-door surfaces.
• QA work to ensure designs and creative assets are polished, on brand, and ready for implementation handoff or final delivery
• Efficiently execute to ship products that deliver impact for our business and customers
