Qualifications

• Experience as a Loan Officer or in a similar client-facing lending role with a strong understanding of borrower needs and regulatory requirements.
• Familiarity with conventional, government-backed, and non-QM loan products is preferred.
• Exposure to underwriting concepts and documentation for credit/risk assessment.
• Strong customer service, clear communication, and ability to explain loan terms clearly.
• Texas mortgage experience preferred; NMLS licensure required or ability to obtain.
• Proven track record of meeting production goals with high ethics and compliance.
• Ability to work remotely and manage multiple files with internal/external partners.
• Basic proficiency with loan origination systems, CRM tools and standard office software.
• High school diploma required; degree in business/finance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Originate residential and commercial mortgage loans and meet prospective borrowers.
• Gather required financial documentation and assess eligibility.
• Explain loan products and terms, present options, and guide through application, approval, and closing.
• Maintain a pipeline and coordinate with underwriting, processing, and closing teams.
• Communicate clearly with clients and referral partners throughout the process.
• Build relationships with real estate agents, business owners, and community contacts to generate new business.
