Job summary

The Huntington National Bank is seeking a Mortgage Loan Officer - Retail to deliver exceptional customer service and guidance throughout the mortgage process. You will research referrals, advise clients on loan options, and coordinate with originators to ensure accurate underwriting information.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of mortgage origination experience and an active NMLS license, with strong communication and organizational skills to manage multiple cases and client relationships

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
1+ years mortgage loan origination experience, preferably at a bank.
NMLS license required.
Bachelor's degree preferred.
Knowledge of mortgage loan products (conventional, FHA/VA, construction lending).
Understanding of mortgage procedures, documentation, and underwriting guidelines.
Ability to identify opportunities to cross-sell financial products and services.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills.
Experience with multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Research and develop new and expand referral sources to grow mortgage business.
Advise clients on mortgage loan options and other financial products.
Provide excellent customer service from approval through closing, coordinating with originators to verify information.
Maintain client relationships.
Assist customers with loan applications.
