Carrington Mortgage Holdings is seeking a Mortgage Customer Advocate Specialist to work from home, providing admin support to the legal department and maintaining complaint tracking systems. The role emphasizes accurate records, data import, and timely correspondence with internal and external partners.

The position offers general administrative duties, familiarity with mortgage terminology, and opportunities to contribute to audits and reporting workflows.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent work experience.
• 1–3 years administrative experience in a legal/complaint handling, corporate environment or residential mortgage servicing company.
• Hours are 7:30 am – 4:00 pm PST.
• Familiarity with mortgage servicing and lending terminology.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Attention to detail and strong analytical/organizational skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft 365 (Word, Outlook, Excel, OneDrive).
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to follow instructions and communicate clearly with internal/external partners.

Responsibilities

• Create, maintain, file, and retrieve Customer Advocacy Department files.
• Maintain and update customer complaint file tracking system.
• Retrieve scanned documents and import historical documents for reporting.
• Maintain internal/external email inboxes as needed.
• Assist with exception reporting as needed.
• Prepare outgoing responses as needed for the department.
• Review Advocate scanned mail and determine handling.
• Maintain accurate and complete documentation records.
• Participate in routine audits as needed.
• Provide general administrative support and other duties as needed.
