Job summary

Sandvik Mining is seeking a Remote Monitoring Analyst for White Pine, TN to monitor equipment health and performance with our digital solutions. You will identify issues, deliver timely recommendations, and support proactive maintenance to maximize availability and customer value.

You will act as the primary customer contact for Remote Monitoring Service, prepare performance reports, and assist in onboarding and training for our digital platforms.

  • Monitor equipment health and performance using Sandvik’s digital solutions.

  • Serve as the primary contact for Remote Monitoring Service customers and conduct reviews.
  • Prepare monitoring reports and technical documentation with data quality in mind.
  • Assist onboarding and training for Sandvik digital solutions and drive user adoption.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and investigation of alarm trends and failures.

Business area Mining is a global leading supplier of equipment and tools, parts, service, digital solutions and sustainability-driving technologies for the mining and construction industries. Applications include rock drilling, rock cutting, loading and hauling, tunneling and quarrying.

The Remote Monitoring Analyst is responsible for monitoring equipment health and performance through Sandvik’s digital solutions, identifying potential issues and improvement opportunities, and delivering timely recommendations to customers. The role supports proactive maintenance, maximizes equipment availability, and creates customer value through data‑driven analysis, reporting, and technical support. The analyst serves as a key customer contact, providing insights on equipment condition, managing critical alerts, conducting operational performance reviews, and supporting customer adoption of digital services platforms.

Working closely with Remote Monitoring Specialists and internal stakeholders, the role contributes to continuous improvement initiatives, root cause investigations, and the delivery of a high‑quality Remote Monitoring Service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Monitoring and Analysis: Monitor equipment condition, performance, and utilization using Digital services tools. Analyse machine data to identify developing failures, operational inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities. Prioritise and investigate abnormal events, alarms, and performance trends.
  • Recommendations and Case Management: Develop and communicate actionable maintenance and operational recommendations. Track recommendations through closure and document outcomes. Support investigations related to equipment failures, recurring events, and critical alarms.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Serve as the primary contact for assigned Remote Monitoring Service customers. Conduct regular service reviews and communicate monitoring findings and opportunities. Support customers in understanding equipment performance and data‑driven recommendations.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Prepare monitoring reports, performance summaries, and technical documentation. Maintain accurate records of recommendations, investigations, and customer interactions. Ensure data quality and consistency across monitoring systems.
  • Digital Services Support: Support onboarding and training activities for Sandvik digital solutions. Promote customer adoption and utilisation of monitoring platforms and reporting tools. Assist in resolving customer questions regarding digital services and escalates issues when required.
  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the improvement of monitoring processes, reporting standards, and alarm effectiveness. Share operational insights and recurring trends with internal stakeholders. Support validation and implementation of new monitoring methodologies and digital capabilities.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School diploma, or GED
  • Technical background with full equipment systems (mining equipment for example)
  • Self Motivated Individual
Preferred Qualifications
  • University degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrica Engineering or Technical Certification in equipment maintenance
  • Technical experience with engines, transmission, hydraulics, brakes

Location: White Pine, TN

Travel Requirements / shift / hours: Regular office hours

Compensation Range: $75,000 to $85,000

Work authorization Must have the legal right to work in the United States on an indefinite basis without employer sponsorship. (Please note: temporary work authorizations, including OPT, do not meet this requirement.)
