Job summary

Ford’s EVDD team seeks a Mobile Engineering Manager to lead and develop mobile engineers responsible for world-class customer-facing applications. You will guide the technical direction, partner with product owners and designers, and ensure scalable, reliable mobile experiences released early and often.

You will foster an engineering culture emphasizing learning, ownership, and measurable results while coordinating with product management and other leaders to deliver customer value across iOS

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on software development experience.
• 5+ years of experience leading large-scale engineering teams and organizations.
• IoT or connected devices experience is a plus.
• Experience leading mobile iOS/Android applications is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of mobile engineers delivering customer-facing applications used by millions of drivers around the world.
• Provide technical leadership from product conception through production, ensuring scalable, reliable, and high-quality mobile experiences.
• Review and provide feedback on product designs, architectures, and engineering approaches.
• Evaluate and recommend emerging mobile technologies, tools, and engineering practices.
• Establish standards for technical documentation, code quality, testing, and operational excellence.
• Partner with product managers, product designers, engineering leaders, and other tech experts to align priorities and deliver customer value.
• Foster a collaborative, inclusive engineering culture focused on continuous learning, ownership, and measurable results.
