Bright Vision Technologies is seeking a Machine Learning Research Engineer for 100% remote work in the United States. You will bridge AI research and production engineering, designing scalable ML systems and robust pipelines to solve high-impact business problems.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years in research and applied ML, strong Python skills, and experience with PyTorch or JAX, plus production-ready concerns like observability and safeguards.

Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, or closely related field or equivalent experience.
• Six or more years of combined research and applied ML engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python and modern ML frameworks such as PyTorch or JAX.
• Hands-on experience training, fine-tuning, and evaluating deep learning models at scale.
• Experience taking ML models from research to production with observability and safeguards.

Responsibilities

• Design, prototype, and evaluate applied AI solutions across natural language, vision, recommendation, and structured data domains.
• Translate business problems into well-scoped ML formulations with clear success metrics.
• Stay current with the latest research in deep learning and LLMs and assess applicability to use cases.
• Implement rigorous experimentation workflows including baselines, ablations, and robust evaluation.
• Build production-quality training and inference pipelines using modern ML frameworks.
• Collaborate with ML platform engineers to optimize compute, storage, and accelerators.
• Mentor engineers on applied ML methodology and responsible deployment.
• Document research findings clearly for technical and non-technical audiences.
