Qualifications

• Pursuing master's in CS/ML or related field.
• Strong ML knowledge incl. ranking, NLP, or CV.
• Proficiency in at least one system language (Java/C++/Python).
• Experience with AI-native engineering and agent-first design.
• Strong communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Lead your own project start to finish on ML/AI problems for Pinterest.
• Work with production ML systems: data engineering, training, inference, and product integration.
• Prototype and experiment with frontier AI tools and agents.
• Validate AI outputs via testing and code reviews for correctness and security.
• Explain AI approaches and context to teammates and stakeholders.
• Contribute to cutting-edge research applicable to Pinterest problems.
• Write clean, efficient, sustainable code.
• Take ownership of tasks and project quality with mentor guidance.
